Latihan Perdana Digelar Sore Hari di GBLA

Seluruh skuad Persib gathers the starting point of the program that afternoon at the training ground adjacent to Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium. The session is a routine marker in the club's annual calendar as the squad rebuilds physical shape after the break period and begins to install tactical patterns under the new coaching setup.

The location itself carries symbolic weight. GBLA remains the home fortress of Persib Bandung, and holding the first training session at its immediate vicinity sends a message that the club continues to treat the surrounding complex as the core of its identity — a base that supporters have repeatedly filled to capacity.

The glaring absence of the two foreign players drew the main attention among observers. Sandy Walsh, the Canadian centre-back known for his aerial strength and pace, and Ragnan Oratmangoen, the forward with a strong record of goal contributions, are regarded as important elements of Persib's lineup in recent seasons.

At the time of the session, neither the club nor the players had issued a public explanation regarding their absence. The status of both remained unclear as of Saturday evening, with observers noting that arrangements involving work permits, registration formalities, personal travel, or contract matters are the usual categories of issue in such cases.

Apa Artinya bagi Persib?

A single training session without two starters is not a decisive indicator, yet it raises questions about squad composition in the early weeks of pre-season. Coaches generally need all available players to test formations in both attack and defence, and the absence of a central defender and a forward simultaneously narrows the tactical options during the initial adaptation phase.

For supporters, the coming weeks will be decisive. Announcements from the club — particularly on registration and pre-season match plans — are expected to clarify whether the two absences are merely administrative matters or something more significant.
